Online Programme FAQs

Questions before starting.

Do I need to sit beside my child?+

No. Parents are not required to be present throughout the lesson. Help your child join the session; the teacher guides the activities.

What if my child loses focus or gets upset?+

The teacher adjusts the practice and helps your child through the activity. Let us know beforehand about anything that may help us support them.

What do we need to get started?+

You’ll need a tablet or laptop with a camera and a stable internet connection. Classes take place on our dedicated learning platform. We’ll send you login details and a setup guide before your first lesson.

Are these live classes or pre-recorded videos?+

Always live. A real PLA teacher runs every session in real time. Live lessons let the teacher respond to your child's answers and give feedback.

How many students are in an online class?+

Online lessons are always 1-to-1. Your child has the teacher’s full attention throughout the 30-minute session.

Can we try the lessons before continuing?+

Yes. See the four-session paid trial details above, or ask our team for current fees and available lesson times.

Can we switch to in-centre classes later?+

Yes, absolutely. If your circumstances change and you'd like to move to our Kovan (SG) or Oasis Ara Damansara (MY) centre, just let us know. We can discuss a suitable starting point, class availability and the different lesson lengths and fees.

What happens if my child misses a class?+

Please let us know at least 2 hours before the lesson starts, and we can arrange a make-up class for your child.

Select a date and time in the calendar, enter your details and complete the booking steps.

Your child will meet a teacher live online. Please have a stable internet connection and a device with a camera ready. A laptop or tablet is recommended.

After you book

  1. You receive confirmation and instructions for joining online.
  2. The teacher looks at your child's reading skills during the assessment.
  3. We share observations during the session and follow up via WhatsApp.
